Planned around the 1946 Christmas fantasy comedy-drama film It’s a Wonderful Life, Newman Village set up an event inviting families out for an evening of fun in an effort to support the Frisco Education Foundation. Hosted at Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, on Thursday, November 20th they presented “It’s a Wonderful Life in Newman Village.” As a part of their fundraiser and to go along with the theme, Newman Village called upon their Frisco snow party experts at Emergency Ice to deliver snow for all the families and kids to enjoy.

Frisco Snow Party Fundraiser in Newman Village

In the process of making the snow in Newman Village, WFAA-Good Morning Texas came out to report on the event and the Emergency Ice DFW Snow Parties crew was also highlighted. Our crew had the ice truck loaded and the snow machines in full force as we produced our legendary snow. On the steps at the fundraiser location at Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, we created a massive snow slide and layered the property with powdery white snow for all the attendees to play around. The hosts of Newman Village wanted exactly what we have been providing the North Texas area for years no matter what time of year – a winter wonderland experience!

The event was open to the public and featured all the Christmas and winter-themed activities including snow sledding, ice skating, carriage rides, music, and all sorts of family fun activities. All of the proceeds from ticket sales went to benefit the Frisco Education Foundation, which Frisco ISD through their many educational programs, student scholarships, and grants for innovative educators.

The Newman Village Fundraiser Activities

Along with our snow hill for all the kids to sled down, the fundraiser also had some great activities and visuals, such as:
  • Mr. Potter’s Horse-drawn Carriage Rides
  • Choo-choo Train Rides on the Bedford Falls Express
  • Ice Skating Rink
  • Visits with Santa
  • Storytelling by Mrs. Clause
  • Holiday Caroling w/Zuzu’s Choral Hour
  • True Old Fashioned Village Feel
  • Lights and Holiday Decorations

They even had some of the Dallas area’s famous local food trucks for great eats and treats!

The DFW Snow Party staff is always proud and happy to contribute our services to any fundraiser that benefits the North Texas area.

Thank you to the Newman Village for hosting the fundraiser and for choosing Emergency Ice for your snow party needs, and thank you to WFAA Good Morning Texas for including us in the broadcast for the fundraiser!
