- Waco Police Memorial Run – Sponsored by the Waco Citizens Police Academy, on May 17th the memorial run starts at 7:30 am at Redwood Shelter in Cameron Park. Runs available between 5k and 1-mile.
- Military Appreciation Weekend – Located at Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, the appreciation weekend repeats every day until Monday May 26th and runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Family Fun Day by Maria Moyers Benefit – The benefit is in support of Guillain – Barre’ Syndrome for a Waco ISD bus driver, and is located at Whitehall Park starting at 11:00 am May 17th and is open to the public.
- Be the Dinosaur Opening Weekend – Located at the Mayborn Museum Complex, the Be the Dinosaur exhibit opens on Saturday May 24th for an all weekend long opening celebration.
