What to Wear to a Dallas Snow Party

By DFW Snow Parties — In Snow Party — August 14, 2017

You’ve been invited to a DFW snow party. Congratulations! If you’ve ever attended one before, you know that “there ain’t no party” like a snow party; but if this will be your first artificial snow experience, you may be a little unsure about what to wear. With 50 years serving the DFW metroplex under our belt, Mr. Cool Snow Parties knows a thing or two about snow parties. Here are a few clothing items you may want to bring along.

Light Coat or Jacket

One of the great things about artificial snow is that while the snow itself is cold, it can exist regardless of weather. That being said, depending on the weather, you may want to wear a light jacket or coat to keep you warm while you’re making snow angels and getting hit with snowballs. Dressing in layers will allow you to shed pieces of clothing as you warm up and pile them back on when you cool back down again.

Pants or Leggings

If the party you’ll be attending will include our Mr. Cool Luge slide, you’ll definitely want to be dressed for the occasion. The 12 foot slide is padded with pounds of snow, leading you down to a soft and fluffy bed of even more snow, which means you’ll probably want to ride down it more than once. Wearing shorts and/or a skirt may be slightly uncomfortable. Instead, dress in pants or leggings and possibly even some boots to keep out ice and snow.

Hat and Gloves

There’s something about snow that makes it so alluring to play with, and artificial snow is no different. While the thought of wearing a winter hat and gloves in the dog days of summer may seem crazy, if you want to build a snowman or partake in a snowball fight, it’s a good idea to bring them along.

Enjoy Artificial Snow Any Time of Year

No matter if it’s a Disney’s Frozen themed birthday party, Christmas in July charity event, or  Winter Wonderland wedding, wearing the right clothing will allow you to enjoy it to the fullest. Remember that artificial snow is made out of our bags of ice, so although it may not be real snow, it’s just as cold, fluffy, and fun!
